Disclaimer: My nails are still in sad shape. Their best friend right now is Nailtek Foundation II. I chipped quite a few over the weekend. But I wanted to share my experience with a new topcoat, Nubar Diamont. Diamont dries incredibly fast and shiny and will be wonderful for when I wear cremes or shimmers. However, its probably not the best option for using over Konad. See the smears? Such a shame. For this mani I used MAC Vestral White and Konad special black polish. The houndstooth print is on image plate M63.

I’ve been nursing 2 bad breaks this last week, and my nails have decided to come down with a bad case of the peelies. I’ve had to cut them down to a much shorter length. I hope to have something decent on to share in the next few days

I spent all day yesterday with naked tips and nursing a break. I finally have it looking decent so I decided on a subtle manicure today. Nubar Lavender, with white konad special polish and the lace strip from plate M57.

Amanda (aka Dr. Frankenpolish) was kind enough to send me one of her beautiful creations, Jackie Jelly. Its a gorgeous, zulu-esque deep green jelly that has incredible shine. It is definitely one of my top 10 favorite polishes. Thank you Amanda!

What’s more refreshing than a big bowl of fruit on a hot summer day?! My fruit mani is using Konad plate M55, OPI Vodka & Caviar (strawberries), Barry M Block Orange (orange slices), Revlon Plum Attraction (grapes), and Art Deco Green (Kiwi). The base color is Nubar Lemon Sorbet.

Sweetpeacurli on MUA requested that I do a bright orange mani with a pastel konad pattern. Bright orange is usually out of my comfort zone but I was up for a challenge. My wonderful friend Vikki sent me Barry M Block Orange a few weeks ago that hadn’t been tried yet, which was the perfect orange for this. I used Nubar Lemon Sorbet and plate M64 for the konad pattern. This color combo reminds me of a creamsicle. I’m pretty pleased with the way it turned out. Thanks Jordana!

Usually wearing blue 2 days in a row is unheard of for me. But Saturday when I was Dollar Tree hunting I came across a lone bottle of Maybelline Indigo Chic. Its a gorgeous navy, slighly purple creme that I just couldnt pass up. Konad was being a pain, but I conquered it (for the most part) and this one might be one of my favorite color combos!

This is one of my few Zoyas. I have a love/hate relationship with them; most of the time they chip way too fast but some of the colors are just too pretty to overlook. I was having one of those off nights last night where polish just does not want to cooperate. I decided to go through a box of untrieds and this one caught my eye.

I love pastel polishes. A MINTY pastel polish is even better. BB Couture Laguna Lagoon is my first (most likely of many) BBCs. The color reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Its going to be hard trying to resist licking this all day!

I am a huge sucker for animal print, and M57 was my very first Konad plate. Months later, its still one of my favorite images. OPI Kyoto Pearl makes a nice shimmery white base for my Snow Leopard look.
